Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play a major role in supporting and uplifting the lives of many through food, clothing, education, and other basic needs. While striving to achieve their key objectives, these organizations also need to put significant effort into meeting their day-to-day necessities, such as food, shelter, and other needs, which may sometimes force them to overlook their main objectives. However, collective action by various organizations can share this effort mutually, benefiting each other and the community even more effectively. Understanding this situation, the Bangalore Food Bank developed a sustainable solution: the NGO Feeding Program. This program serves beneficiary organizations with a regular supply of essential groceries.
This program supports SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, promoting sustainable nutrition and health.
The program will supply essential groceries such as rice, pulses, millets, and other nutrition-rich food items every month to the identified NGOs. The quantities to be distributed will be planned based on the number of individuals in the beneficiary organizations. We are currently backing 17 non-profit organizations, benefiting 3,553 beneficiaries with their monthly groceries. To expand our reach and address the issue of food access at hand, we are looking for partners to support us.
